Claire’s sire, Commander HK Z, is bred with top genetics: his sire is the progenitor Comme Il Faut, and his dam, E-Maitresse TVH Z, excelled in the 5* 1m60 circuit and is a daughter of the Olympic stallion Emerald van ’t Ruytershof. Commander showed at a young age his outstanding showjumping qualities. In 2020, he was a finalist at the Belgian championship for 4-year-olds. During the subsequent years, he collected numerous clear rounds in international showjumping classes for young horses. Under the saddle of Gabriel De Matos Machado, he made his international five-star debut this year. 

Olympia JW van ‘t Meulenhof, the dam of this filly, has already produced two approved stallions, namely Cognac and Uricas van ’t Gebergte Z. She is also the granddam of the approved stallion Davione van ’t Gebergte Z. Olympia’s dam is none other than the 5* GP mare Ilusionata van ’t Meulenhof, who played a leading role in the international showjumping scene for many years. She, in turn, is a daughter of Carthina, a Carthago daughter who produced one showjumping star after another, including Emerald and Diamanthina van ’t Ruytershof, Nixon and Pepita van ‘t Meulenhof, Ilusionata, etc. They all belong to one of the best dam lines in showjumping breeding.
