The sire of this filly, Pegase van ’t Ruytershof, was champion of the BWP stallion selection as a three-year-old and is now a BWP elite stallion. Under the saddle of Jeroen De Winter, he performs at international 1m50 to 1m55 level. In breeding, he is very popular and sought after due to several undeniable qualities such as temperament, athletic scope, and great suppleness in the trot and canter. Additionally, he produces commercial horses that can jump very easily through the body from behind, which is typical of the bloodline of Olympic stallion Emerald; the lineage to which Pegase also belongs.

Witchcraft is also interestingly bred on her dam’s side. Her dam, Opportunity W, has three consecutive progenitors in her pedigree: For Pleasure, Chin Chin and Libero H. She is a half-sister to the international showjumper Cash It. Their granddam, Paola W, is the next strong link. She produced the KWPN approved stallion Zelote VDL (with whom Tina Yates excelled in the five-star circuit), Halifax W (5*, Ismael Garcia Roque and Sergio Alvarez Moya), Columbia W (who performed at four-star 1m45 level in the US) and Wendy W, who in turn is known as the dam of the 1m60 performer Desiree van het Marienshof (granddam of the 5* Grand Prix showjumping star Chuck Marienshof Z, Gilles Thomas), Gigolo (1m55 level), Haribo (1m50 level), Lets Kiss The Sky (1m50 level) and Ceasar Obolensky VB Z (1m45 level). In other words, a great deal of sport is embedded in this Dutch breeding family 315.
