This colt is sired by Hesselhoj Donkey Boss. From his first vintage, Daan G was approved as a breeding stallion and sold for a record price to Paul Schockemöhle and Andreas Helgstrand. Donkey Boss was approved in Denmark as a three-year-old stallion and scored exceptionally high points during his performance test. At the age of four, he won the Danish Championships. His full brother, Hesselhoj Down Town, became World Champion of five-year-old dressage horses in 2021 and Vice-Champion at the World Championships for six-year-olds in 2022.

His granddam is none other than Eskara de Jeu, a Jazz daughter who achieved numerous Grand Prix victories under the saddle of Jessica Dertell in Australia  and finished eight at the National Championship for Young Riders in 2023. Her full brother, Don de Jeu, was approved as a breeding stallion. Toscane de Jeu, a half-sister to Eskara and Don de Jeu, produced the Grand Prix horses Zaira GC and Asti Spumante GC, as well as the Small Tour horses Fire TC and Go For It TC.
